Joint Meeting Held Between Iran University of Science and Technology, Pardis Technology Park, and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University

On Monday, May 12, 2025, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) hosted representatives from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) and Pardis Technology Park to discuss strategic academic and technological collaboration.

The meeting focused on the implementation of a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the establishment
of a joint institute for technology leadership. Senior representatives from all three institutions engaged in detailed discussions concerning the operational framework, governance model, and timeline for launching the joint center.
Dr. Reza Golshan Khavas, Director of the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for collaborative innovation and emphasized the importance of this initiative as a key step toward advancing Iran’s scientific and technological capabilities.
Dr. Mojtaba Jabaripour, Vice President for Technology Development at Pardis Technology Park, highlighted the Park’s facilitating role in bridging academia and industry. He expressed optimism that this tripartite cooperation would lead to tangible outcomes in training specialized human capital and supporting the development of cutting-edge technologies.
Representatives from SPbPU expressed their appreciation for IUST’s warm hospitality and reiterated their university’s commitment to the joint venture, describing it as a strategic move toward expanding international cooperation and knowledge exchange.
The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the significance of this trilateral partnership and a mutual desire to expedite the launch of the proposed joint institute.
